Welcome Back
As we settle into a new school year in Coláiste Chill Mhantáin, we would like to welcome all our students and teachers back to school. We extend a special welcome to our First year students and to the new members of our teaching team. We also wish to congratulate our Leaving Certificate class of 2024 on their fantastic exam results and to wish them well in their future paths. We look forward to a new term and to celebrating the various milestones, achievements and successes of our students on our various social media, including Instagram, FaceBook and Twitter, and on the iClass App.

Glendalough Trip 2024
Well done to our First year students, who along with their Senior Mentors, Tutors and Year Heads, ventured to Glendalough on Friday, 6 September, as part of CCM’s Induction Programme.
Baltinglass Outdoor Education Centre
TY classes 3 & 4 had a great day out in Baltinglass Outdoor Education Centre on Tuesday, 10 September. Even the rain couldn't dampen spirits and students took part in kayaking, zip lining, rock climbing, archery and orienteering. The day finished with sunshine and a sing song on the bus. A most enjoyable bonding day all-round.
TY5 Trip to Baltinglass
TY5 had a brilliant trip to Baltinglass outdoor Education Centre on Thursday, 12 September. In the morning session, students alternated between archery and kayaking/water sports and thankfully the weather was lovely throughout. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the water activities, in particular. After lunch, the groups took part in zip lining, abseiling, rock-climbing and orienteering where there some great displays of competitiveness and teamwork. A thoroughly enjoyable bonding day in Baltinglass.
Happy Retirement Ray!
Friday, 30 August, was yet another milestone in the life of Coláiste Chill Mhantáin, as it marked the retirement of Mr Ray St.John. Ray is a well-known figure around the Wicklow area, having previously taught in De La Salle College prior to the amalgamation with the Abbey Community College. Mr St John’s classroom was always friendly and welcoming as students were encouraged to develop their academic skills while learning life skills along the way.
Prior to his final departure from CCM, Fifth year students formed a guard of honour to say goodbye to their Year Head, science and woodwork teacher.
We would like to wish Ray a very happy retirement from everyone at CCM.
