HAPPY CHRISTMAS
As a very busy term draws to a close with our annual Carol Service and Talent Show, we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the many successes and achievements, both curricular and extra-curricular, of our students over the past few months. Thank you also to the management and staff of the school who have supported the students and encouraged them to achieve their potential. Finally, thank you to the members of the Board of Management, the Parents' Association and to all the parents whose ongoing support ensures our continued success in the school. We wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
CCM Carol Service 2024
On Thursday, 19 December, the CCM community gathered for our annual Christmas Carol Service and to reflect on our chosen theme of ‘Gratitude’. Well done to all involved in the organisation of a lovely community event that we look forward to each year, and thank you to the Religion and Music Departments for preparing the students. We were delighted to hear from Jack Lambe and Caitlin Power, our Head Boy and Head Girl, as well as many other students throughout the service.
CCM TALENT SHOW 2024
Once again, Mr Davis and Joe Murphy took to the stage as MCs for this year’s Talent Show. We were treated to a diverse programme of acts, including music, song, dance and comedy from our very talented students. Thank you to our judges, Ms McDonald, Ms Somers and Mr McVicar, who had the unenviable task of choosing the winners. And very well done to our winners, as follows;
1st Place: Frank McNamara and Cole Perri with ‘Johnny Be Good’
2nd Place: Anthony Kleinblooi, Justin Ivanets, Taras Ivanets and Michael Adekunle’s ‘Billy Jean’
3rd Place: Frank McNamara’s Comedy Act
Also, an outstanding performance award for Isaac Conway!
Thanks to all our wonderful acts this year and to all who helped organise today’s events.
Happy Christmas to all of our students, their families, our staff and the wider CCM community. We hope you enjoy the break and will see you all in 2025!
Third Year Trip
Our Third year students had a very enjoyable day out as part of their Religion course on Wednesday, 18 December. The students visited St Patrick's Cathedral and learned about the gothic architecture and fascinating history of this beautiful place of worship. Thank you to our tour guides Kryzel and Niamh for their engaging tours. We also heard the festive tunes of the choir practising and admired the beautiful Christmas decorations.
The students also visited The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland, where Amilah told us the fascinating story of her conversion from Christianity to Islam. The students were impressed by the beautiful interior of the mosque and enjoyed the chance to listen to the call to prayer.
Thank you so much to the students for answering questions, showcasing all they've learned in Religion class and for their excellent behaviour.
