Parents' Association

The Coláiste Chill Mhantáin Parents' Association is the structure through which Parents/Guardians in Coláiste Chill Mhantáin can work together for the best possible education for their children.

The Parents' Association committee members are elected by ballot to the Parents’ Council. Representatives are elected on a geographical basis from the school catchment area. The staff of the school can elect one representative who is a full voting member of the Committee. A Post Holder from the Staff also acts as Liaison between the Parents’ Committee and the school in order to facilitate the work of the Committee. The Principal and/or Deputy Principals are ex-officio members.

Meetings are held 5 times during the year

Elections to the Committee happen every year at the Annual General Meeting.

The objectives of the Committee are three-fold:-

  • to promote and foster co-operation between home and school
  • to act in an advisory and consultative capacity in relation to the school
  • to promote the education and general welfare interests of the pupils.
