Congratulations TY - A European Award for their EU50 Project!
Students from Coláiste Chill Mhantáin have been selected to represent the Ireland South Constituency in Euroscola in Strasbourg. Euroscola is an immersive experience where students will witness, first-hand, how the European Parliament operates. The CCM students will join students representing the Dublin and Midlands Northwest constituencies as well as students from every country in the European Union. Students will take seats in the hemicycle for the parliament to debate, negotiate, amend, vote and adopt resolutions on real European issues.
The students were invited to take part after winning a competition where students produced a short video demonstrating how they would convince the Irish public to join the EU back in 1973.
24 students from CCM, together with two teachers, will travel to Strasbourg for the event. Well done to all involved!
