WELCOME BACK
We would like to welcome back all of our students and teachers to school. In particular, we welcome our new First Years and the students who have joined our school in other year groups. We also welcome our new teachers and are confident that they will enjoy their time in Coláiste Chill Mhantáin. We look forward to sharing and celebrating the school's many milestones, successes and achievements in the weeks and months to come.
EXAMINATION RESULTS
We take this opportunity to congratulate and say well done to our Leaving Certificate Class of 2021 on their excellent examination results. We wish our graduating students well and hope that they continue to enjoy success in their third level courses, careers and future life paths. Thank you, also, to their parents and teachers who supported the students in achieving their potential.
TY TRIP TO BALTINGLASS
Transition Year students travelled to Baltinglass Outdoor Education Centre for a full day of activities during their first week back to school. They took part in kayaking, orienteering, archery, zip-lining and abseiling. Students conquered their fear of heights and climbed all the way to the top of the tower.
It was an excellent start to the Transition Year programme for all involved. The students had a great day and are looking forward to trying kayaking again in the spring.
GEOGRAPHY FIELD TRIP
On Thursday, 23rd September, Leaving Certificate Geography students travelled to Ballymoney Beach, Co Wexford, to gather data on marine erosion along the south-east coastline. The class enjoyed fine Autumn sunshine and students successfully completed their task which will enable them now to proceed with the write-up of their Journals for their Leaving Certificate exam.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
This year a wide range of extracurricular activities is on offer to all students. These range from fields such as sport and music to technology and science, to name but a few. We invite all students to contact the appropriate teacher if interested in taking up an extracurricular activity.
